Just wondering who everyone uses?
Do you have an agreed value (help from the car club there) setup with your insurer?
If you do does it hike up the premium a lot if a higher value?
Do they accept the mods on the car?
Stereo cover?
Track Day Cover?
Anything else I can't think of right now? :D

Also wondering if we can use our group buying power to get some better deals for everyone. More difficult to do I know but coupled with the club membership and a specialist it might be worth an ask.

I use rh insurance it's a classic car policy but was considerably cheaper than all other quotes, cheaper than my 2.8

Have recommended on .net before with some takers, I think they would certainly be worth call.

I'm with Admiral, was cheapest I could find and they covered mods. A.Flux was double!! Rh was expensive.

im with elephant, cheapest i could find. Bieng 21 they wont cover me on engine mods and charge a fortune for other mods (£84 for strut brace but only £73 for induction + exhaust) and i cant get them to give me a quote on a re-map. Its a daily driver so classic insurance wouldnt cover me for commuting and the miles i do and flux was a little more and still didnt cover engine mods so i stuck with elephant. Just as a FYI it cost £1164 fully comp with 1y of NCB and no mods.

Very cheap way of insuring an old car :) :)
£362.00 renewal

Trackdays i would have thought would bump up any insurance
Agreed value does not increase the premium
Its worth mentioning any serious modifications

just an update on the cheapest insurance.. Paid £285 last year with Adrian flux, just had a reminder that this years was due £404 :-o Went on go compare and got a quote from LV for £238 full comp for the year with limited mileage,(1000 miles) same as flux, so paid and got a good deal. #:-s

I'm with Hagerty (Classic Car Insurers), due for renewal at about the same price as last year, just under £400.

Limited to 3000 miles and must have a daily drive.

I contacted Flux for a quote and was asked a number of questions including......'have you driven a performance car before?'.....and given a quote for £830 reducing to something like £350 if I moved my no claims.

My brother has just contacted Flux and received a quote that doesn't require no claims to be moved over?

Whether the engine size has anything to do with it, mines a 3.0, his a 2.2, or whether Flux have changed their criteria I don't know.

I'm sticking with Hagerty. Easy to deal with and if I want to do more miles I can pay a bit extra and add a few.

im 21, the 2.8 with suspension mods (strut brace) non standard alloys and exhaust mods comes to £1500, a Z3M comes to £1200. Both with 12k miles a year and 1y NCB, i have no idea how insurance companies work it out.
