I would be tempted if the car wasn't an automatic

If it was totally original maybe, but it’s had a lot of work done on it and you might still have to do the age related stuff. 10k send a bit steep.
Yeah, I agree the price is steep… And of course, it's not a "real" M.

It does look good though. :D

Lovely car @Dxbolton.

Like I mentioned above, I am a bit impulsive, and the wife already said no. :( The only way she would agree to that is if I got rid of the Spitfire, but I am not prepared to do so (yet).

I will just have to keep plodding on my 1.9...

Double disapproval
Come on, I bought a car without doing any sort of due diligence (like Musk with Twitter) and sold the idea to the wife that it would be a sound purchase. There's no way she will fall for that again (and she didn't).

I am preparing myself emotionally to sell my Spitfire though (and for that matter, the Mercedes I never use), but I need to think things through this time. ;)

We bought our first zed off Facebook market place and had it delivered to us as I couldn’t be bothered to go and look at it 😆😆
We got lucky and it was a nice car (auto) but we knew we were going to change it so it was worth the risk

To be frank, after seeing your car, I really wanted to do something similar. But, I can't afford to do that and also provide the ~4 holidays a year the wife demands… I got to finish paying the mortgage for that. :p

How many of those are driving holidays?

Many in the past, when the kids were young: France (Dordogne, Cote d'Azur, and French Riviera), Northern Spain, Portugal. But, all in modern cars. More recently (no kids) northern UK, Scotland, Wales (South and North), etc.

Like her dislike for my motorbikes in the past, the difficulty is to prove the older cars will provide the same comfort. Basically, she's an snob… :ymdevil:

Just to complement, the wife doesn't like to travel long distances in the Spitfire (or to be fair, she's never gone near it). The thing is, the Spit's got none of the later creature comforts found in even the earliest Z3s. But I still need to prove that to her.

I will have to work a bit on that...
