They have a really funky video showing it bubbling stuff... So, it creates hydrogen which is then fed in with the air feed for a better bang? Hmmmm.

By the looks of the terminals on that machine it needs a large electrical supply to make it work. I would have thought if it were working in the video, the gas would be syphoned off into a holding tank. Hydrogen is quite inflammable.

hi mike it makes hydrogen on demand so no holding tank required

I met this guy when I was buying the wide odd panels last year, he had it fitted to a Jenson of his wife's at the time, there is no need for tank as it is generated as and when needed, and in a crash, there is nothing to vent.

What I can't quite get my head round is, without a holding tank the amount of hydrogen cannot be regulated to the speed of the engine. Given that the machine appears to make the hydrogen at a constant rate, when the engine runs slowly it takes uses a lot of gas, when it run faster the proportion of hydrogen to fuel drops.

from what i understand the cell produces enough to satisfy the whole need and is metered, what is not used is vented off, that said i think it is cost prohibitive on anything other than a new vehicle as the initial outlay, out ways the payback, bit like solar panels!

The outlay is £500 Fitted with fuel savings and a cleaner engine could be worth a try I feel. I read about this http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=wiViPKIoG68 on this forum the effects should be similar ? thanks for the replies chaps much appreciated

At £500 that's the price of a new exhaust on Zed, I think it was about £1200 last year. Before you dive in though, check the small print on the warranty and what is covered, as it is an emergent technology, they won't knowcwhatbthe long term effects are on an engine, remember the switch over to unleaded.

As a side my mate at work recently, had the terraclean treatment on his Saab, he has just had to fork out for a new engine due to compression loss and oil leaks.

Thanks for the advice I will ask and read. My current car is our daily drive and happy to experiment a bit with it as we get so much fun at weekends however as we enjoy it so much we are looking at a z3m which we will treat as an investment and prob be garaged for a lot of the time so hopefully we will have best of both z3 worlds
