Saw this 1.9 on ebay and I thought following the bargain that @Sean d has just posted it'd be rude not to do the same.

So ladies and gents here's a bargain 1.9 with only 48k miles, marvelous condition.

Only £7500, cheap as chips, grab yourself a bargain now =))=))=))

My question is, whys it so expensive. Is there anything in that car that puts the value up to 7.5 grand.

That one has been up for sale for years now, think someone has got it in storage and is just waiting for the right mug to come along.

Oh, and when you see Grumpy at the weekend, tell him the other one is in the Albert Hall.......;)

We'd all like to think our cars are worth 10 times more than we paid but unfortunately not. These people are just opportunists waiting patiently for Mr Mug!

You mad with me Mr McDonnell?? :(
Eh? No mate, lost in translation. My point being that once a few go for that sort of money the precedence has been set for the price and others will follow suit. Which is a bad thing for future buyers :)

For some reason Z3's do fetch a lot more in Europe than they do in the UK, so I'd say that 25% of that price is a premium for LHD. Half that asking price is more realistic.

Being LHD pushes the value up way over RHD for someone who will use on the mainland.
Used cars are much, much more expensive in many mainland countries.
If you have a look on autotrader there are dealer just selling LHD cars at a premium to U.K. Prices. Not sure where they get them from though.

That said finding a good Z is becoming harder, they all look good in adverts but many need work or not been looked after. For someone who can't do the work themselves, paying a 'high' price for a good one makes sense.
