Actually more than I thought ( again depends on what your definition of driving is) used to work in a place where we done all the work for a used car showroom that specialised in prestige and classic cars so driven quite a few things ( some literally over the road and back ) but some oddball stuff amongst them.

Oops didn't actually count there will look again in morning and add to here.
Stephen.

Sadly none for me either.
RO80 would be my choice if I could.

What - you had 15 of those cars? That's pretty cool.

I'm too boring. I didn't have any of those - well. Almost. My first car was a Simca 1000. Just the bog standard one not the Rallye variant.

Next I had a Simca 1100 which isn't included except that the Ranco is basically just a Simca 1100 with jacked up torsion bars to give a little more road clearance. A 1442 engine from the Alpine/Solara and some fibreglass body panels by Matra. No all wheel drive and no limited slip diff. I don't think that one in the photo got out of that ditch on its own.

No I didn't own them all just driven them. By the way they never fitted the 1442 engine in the Solara, they were 1300 or 1600 only same with the Alpine with the Face-lift bumpers.

Ah. You learn something new every day. My brother had Alpines. Pre facelift and post facelift. I didn't look closely but I assumed they were both 1442. Although I will add that we were in Germany. Maybe they had different specs?

Possibly, but I can only speak for UK models. The 1300 and 1600 models had the valve gear improved which meant that tappet rattle wasn’t as big of an issue as it was with the 1100, 1204 and 1442 engines. I had an Alpine S 1442, several Horizons of different specs and a Solara GLS 1600. Very underrated cars IMHO.

Just seen this.
i had an Autobianchi Abarth and still can not understand why people consider this as a small marvel.
it was a very well maintained car that had spent all its life in the warm Greek climate and yet the rust had eaten half of the body.
the engine…. Oh the engine… when it did not have electrical issues worked fine, but compared to the direct opponent the Mini, it drove like a truck and probably had the worst handling of its era.
it ended in the breakers yard as the floor decided to part ways with the body with me sitting on it…
worst car ever. Like paying for sex in Singapore. You give your money and in the end its you who gets screwed.

Also zero, apart from maybe a few mx5’s if that counts. I did see a Prowler this morning. It resides in front of a riverside house near Shepperton Lock, but judging by the green moss underneath it, it hasn’t done any prowling recently.
