How many cars have you had with a vinyl roof?

I had several. I even fitted them in the past (not for naughty reasons before anyones asks). I wonder how some modern cars would carry the look?

Cortina and Dolomite my favorites in the list although probably a Mk1 Escort 1300E always suited the standard Vynyl, forgot about the Hilman Hunter GLS they looked very nice.
Only had one with a after market Vynyl that was on a white Talbot Sunbeam.

I had a Mk2 Escort 1.3 Ghia. Gold with a brown roof.
Bought in 1999 for £90 (yes really!), I had it 36 hours before I was t-boned and it was written off.
Insurance paid me out £150, but I still wish I still had it!

1968 HB Vauxhall Viva SL 1.6 2 door, white with black vinyl roof

AWB 233M Sahara Beige MK 1 Ford Capri with black vinyl roof. Original had to be replaced after it was parked outside block of offices where workers threw cigarette ends out of the window burning holes in it. Did make it a cheap buy though. Ridiculous rally type steering wheel fitted by myself which meant you need arms like Popeye to drive it.

Had a MK1 Capri, Daytona Yellow with black vinyl roof and rear slatted window, looked the bis but was only a 1600cc

Hillman Avenger 1300 GL. Maroon with white half length vinyl roof. Chrysler Avenger 1600 Neptune Blue ? Black roof.
Mk.1 Granada (Consul) bright lime green, too much green so I fitted a black vinyl roof and did the "B" pillars too. It had a tan PVC interior.

Only had one car with vinyl roof, a brown Reliant Scimitar SE6 manual with overdrive back in about 1980ish. The guy who fitted it for me over at an auto upholstery business in South Bank near Redcar said he'd never do another one on a Scimitar as it was so difficult. He honoured the price he quoted me for it (around £85 if I recall) even though he taken more time than he'd originally estimated for the job. The tan vinyl finish was brilliant and really suited the car.

I had a 1.6XL Capri and a MK4 Cortina 2.0l S. The Cortina was red with a black vinyl roof, it looked really smart. The only trouble was, it was too easy to pinch.

Never had one myself as I was into bikes at that time. Grandad had a yellow Capri with one, dad had a mkII white cortina with one and my brother had a yellow hillman avenger.

Only ever owned one, a Datsun 180B SSS coupe. Burnt orange with a dark brown roof. Not a big fan of the old style textured vinyl roof. Great little car at the time though.

Mk 1 Consul coupe (out in Germany at the time), that was a really horrible peppermint green, much improved by a respray to Venetian red. All that car and a 1.7 v4 to pull it around. Soon swapped that for a 2.0 v6, not much faster but a much nicer sound.
