Wouldn't like to drive in that ;)

Makes us realise how lucky we are in the UK. Most of us moan at a few inches of snow. Stay safe Jim

It must be tough over the Winter months, or is that an understatement, Jim?

Best Wishes.

David.
You would find it so but being born and raised with it just part of everyday life. Definitely different driving techniques are needed. We can always dress warmer and turn the heat up in winter but summer offers it's own challenges. We hosted a couple of 16 yr olds from Lima, Peru who found it daunting at first but tried everything from skating, snowmobiling to ice fishing. They were amazed that after a morning shower their hair froze while waiting for the bus to go to school. They especially liked to walk out to the channel behind my house and watch the fish swimming under the ice. JIM

We are fortunate to live in one of the best recreational areas around. If you google the area there is something for everyone young and old except another Zed. Come on over, winter, summer or any season has it's own beauty and wildlife. Last year we had Pop the weasel to take care of mice and a young deer that visited almost everyday and watched us through our living room window. There've been coyotes, deer and flying overhead bald eagles.

It's on our bucket list to visit Canada. My wife also wants to go to Churchill, to see the polar bears roaming wild. The last time we looked it was something like £10,000 but that includes the ice safari's in those high rise trucks. Not sure if we'll ever get there but we can dream

Are you one of those official ice road zedders then! My parents visited twice before they decided to stop travelling. My mum especially absolutely loved it but age beat them to visiting a 3rd time. :)

City life for me thank you very much, everything within walking distance, bars, restaurants, restaurants, did I mention bars?
Oh, and across the road I can get a tattoo or piercing and out of shot on the right is my hairdressers, she always got the blame for my car.

It had just started to rain and I was keeping an eye out in case I got a ticket for being parked where I was.

Brrrr, lovely place but too cold for me, I want all year sunshine.
Us too Jim, hence the villa in Florida. Having said that, mid summer can be a bit too hot !

Tony.

Haven't done the Zed yet but the temp is supposed to spike next week to +5c so may happen yet! Too bad your parents stopped coming over, I'll stop travelling when I die and I guess if we are to believe all our teachings will experience one last trip either direction. You hopefully are following their wanderlust and are welcome here any time! JIM

Hi Jack, two words I never say on a plane, if you check out polarbears.ca you can watch them around Churchill in real time as they have cameras set up. I hope that's correct, if not I'll try to get the proper link. JIM
