Having done it once with our log houses it's not quite such a gamble,but we are going for quite a niche market but there's always demand for romance with a hot tub lol .if you ever want to talk about ideas for your plan I have some crazy ones

Exactly and no ones the same but there are some things with hindsight we would of done differently,ad some pitfalls we could have avoided with a little warning.Always be open to ideas mine are by no means unique ,I'm a blatant idea robber lol

Totally agree Hugh, we've "recycled" a lot of ideas from new and old friends alike, who no doubt mostly did the same. It's rare you get to talk to the first one who made "the" mistake.

The site is looking good.
To makes sure everything is in place for guests, when everything is ready, do a simple thing: take your travel baggage and live there for a week. You will discover all spots and than you will have only the best feed back. Personally, I always rent this kind of accommodation, because is the best way to feel the nature of the place and live like a local. Hotels are always on the second place on my search list. And this is the trend if you look how many sites with private accommodation grow up each year. Keep up the good work, Hugh, you will be surprised by the reward!

Hope to be open in a month,it will depend on the lead time on the hot tub,there may be a few bugs and a smell of fresh paint to iron out ,but it could be on the cards

Couple of updates today,tried the TV out with the mirror film it was to reflective so I need to get one with less tint ,got some samples coming tomorrow,and made our plumber scratch his head when we asked for this
