My idle valve is hissing when you touch it so take its why it's lumpy.
Got a hairline crack and gasket looks dodgy.
Any idea where I can get one asap euro are way to expensive.

you could change the oil, all m44 do this and in the winter it gets worse, the valves get stuck, best cure is a good thrashing or swap to a thinner oil. i use 5w30, it does go back to lumpy though quite quickly. im not saying it isnt this disa thingy but google lumpy M44, its real common but doesn't do it any harm.

The idle valve is hissing from the 2 screws and when you press on it .
Also looks to have a tiny hairline crack.

Yes it was originally a tad uneven as all m44 engines but something has gone drastically wrong it's shaking at idle hunting.
Here we go again.

True Jim.
I have tried and poured money into this car its becoming an unreliable money pit .
I don't mind but it just one thing after another just recently had its oil service oil breather exhaust Cat
Whopping £450 bill 2 weeks ago bringing this year's spend to a thousand pounds.
Now it idles like an old dog lumpy hunting .I have ordered a new idle valve to see if this is the cause
Cliff said he could hear it hissing at the screws and when pressed. It has a tiny hairline crack but not sure if it goes right through.
The only other thing he found was the Disa valve a bit noisy and the Disa gasket inside looks bad .
Don't know why it's treating me this way only ever cared for it with love and money and attention.
Thanks for your support Jim.

It must be one of the Female version of Zeds.
Reference the Disa Valve Tracey i know you can get kits to refurb/upgrade the 3.0 but not sure if you will be able to get one for a 1.9. I know a few on here have done this so might be worth having a look at that option if they do a refurb kit.
