Hi,

I got my 2015 Z4 28i black hardtop sport+ on December 21st 2019 - for basically less than KBB, and bought the warranty to 75K - only has 21K miles and it's so clean.

I fell in love with roadsters back in 1995 when my boss had a 1970 Spitfire, 4 banger with toed out tires, it was actually the pace car for some prestigious race back in the day, I was too young to care, but loved that car. I probably ruined his car, took a 90 degree turn at 50 mph one night, I swear the stop sign was just suddenly there! But oh man! When I dropped the gear and hit the brakes, whipped that car around the corner and it just said "that was fun" - I was in shock at what that little car could do.

BMW's have always been the cars that spoke to me with their sophisticated emblem, and never too flashy look.
I just dreamed, I never believed I would own one - and I know mine isn't anything like what is possible, But it is more car than I have ever hoped to have - but I do have it!

Most crazy thing is that the Certified BMW Dealership actually gave me credit! WTF? Me? And a good rate too.
Beat my credit union even. I love the way they treat me so far, it definitely can go to your head!

Anyway, I want to upgrade certain things on my car, and take great car of it, meet others who are as enthusiastic about their whips as I am, who likely know much more than I do. That's why I came looking for this place.

I spend so many hours at the office, and my drive is 40 min twice a day - so this is really the way I am rewarding myself - making my drive, and a little part of my day - more fun. I also totaled the ford fusion I was driving - I think as I got older I just became complacent about driving - it was boring and I think I wasn't paying attention any more. Everyone is telling me - don't wreck that one! - But I believe I will be more engaged as a driver now, once again I should say.

Glad to hear from anyone here.

Hi Tony!

Thanks! I have much to learn about it still.

I am in Marana, AZ - near to Tucson, Arizona - about a two hours drive south of Phoenix, Arizona. About 6 hours south of the Grand Canyon, and about a 8 hours East of Los Angeles.

We have highways around here that are straight, clean, newly refinished, that go on for hours and hours - but I have yet to take it out on one. Soon I will - these highways are virtually void of police officers. When with the dealer we did get a chance to use the launch control - that feeling of being forced back into my seat is addictive - but I read the owner's manual - "It is suggested to use the feature sparingly as permanent wear on the mechanical parts can not be avoided." So, like any drug - moderation is key.

That's interesting about the roads. We have a home in Florida and are considering driving the across the deserts and onwards to the Pacific coast whilst we are there this coming spring. If you have a Dashcam please post some footage of the roads on YouTube and share on here.

Tony.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Great so see another member from the USA joining the forum. Nice to see you

We don't get long straight roads over here - although many of the ones we do have are 2,000 years old. We live where two roman roads cross dead in the centre of England. Unless the geography wouldn't allow it, the ancient roman roads are generally straight(ish). Even so, the most you get is about a mile dead straight.
8 hours gets you to virtually anywhere except the very north of Scotland. Puts some scale on our little island.

Welcome to the forum from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey...................Frankie. Had a forum member, @miller1098 , out on some of those roads a few years back when he helped me drive an ///M from California back to New Jersey. Did over 100 for MILES !!!. He couldn't believe the straight runs you have for so many miles.................Frankie
