Just thinking of places to visit this year and didn't realise the Haynes Motor Museum was near Yeovil, that's really not too far from me.
Has anyone been recently, is it worth a visit?
Has it got a Zed room?

I seem to think there was a visit last year, or maybe the year before.

Tony.

Jill and I went in January and "yes" its well worth a visit. If I remember correctly its £13 per adult but you can go again FOC within a year. You might be able to return more than once, but I've been to sleep a few times since we went and my memory is pretty sh%% these days.

If you have a look in the event write ups a group of us went down and it's a good museum. The reason we went is they have a small race circuit you can rent and one of the guys took his Westfield down for a shake down session.

Very much worth a visit. They have some cracking cars and bikes on show.

If there's a run out arranged, we'll be up for a meet. A Sunday trip would be ideal for us

Thanks guys, I think I might pencil this in on my summer wish list.
Being a fully paid up member of the National Trust, I notice Montacute House is just around the corner too. ( and we Zed owners like corners)
I can see a romantic weekend in the making for Mrs Tearoom. (she will be thrilled)

Went about 4 years ago, well worth a visit especially the red room where all the cars are red. Depending when you are going we might be up for it. The TR club that I belong to go for a breakfast each month and visit museum.

I visited about ten years ago on a cruise with my GT6, we were allowed on their track for a couple of laps. Great fun. :):):)

I went on a TVR club day as my mate had a Cerbera, I had a 205 1.9 Gti and was just about the fastest around the circuit, nothing to do with ability though I'm afraid, everything to do with it being a tight 2nd gear track not suited to powerful rear wheel drive cars!
(Not for lap times anyway, but lots of fun nonetheless!)
