Harman Karden Upgrade help????

Hi i have a 2002 z3 with harman karden, i replaced the head unit with a pioneer. Would the the original set up have an amp? I changed the two footwell speaker with some 50 watt coaxial's and they work great! but am struggling to find out what to the replace the single sub in the rear center as it has 4 wired conenctions. Is it possible to replace this speaker with one with 2 connections? cheers

Yed there will be an amp in the boot. Either above the cd changer or behind the carpet .

You can pair the wires together to fit one sub

What wattage sub could I get away with? Do you know what output the amp had?
