Hi

I know this has been asked before.
I put the hardtop on today.
Pleased until i drove it, it seems to make a noise/rattle at the back,
driving over the slightest bumpin the road

I have been told thats what they do s:mad

Anyone have similar symptoms and a solution
The fitting adjustments/measurement are corect

i felt i had to put it on,
as i had gone to so much trouble getting it

i have just read this on the ,org
viewtopic.php?f=22&t=228
but the spacings are correct :-\

Ray your hard top shouldn't rattle. When you put the hardtop on there should be a little bit of resistance when you push the rear levers to secure the hardtop, if you're not getting any resistance you probably need to adjust it.

Lovely lunch today sorry you missed it, maybe another day. It was nice to be out in the sun with the roof down in the middle of December. S:smile

That is proably your folded down soft top.
You will be more aware of it with the lid on.

First you need to check there are no mice hiding in there.
Then as Ragtop says there should be *some* resistance when you lock the bayonet handles.
If all that is OK, check the two big black rubber blocks (stop buffers) that sit on the rim just forward of the boot.
They have a tendency to go hard and lose their cushioning effect.

The mention of mice/rat is worrying at this time of year for me
Bad memories
Last night my alarm went off twice in the middle of the night
My first thoughts were not burglars, but the bloody Mice in the garage :-s
I took the Zed out and checked it over, need to check sprite next
I have topped up the poison, its everywhere, have ultrasound thingys

I think my garage is to inviting and comfortable

After christmas total clearout
