Have done 4 of them - Chapman's Peak , Big Sur, Hana Highway and Stelvio. Wouldn't rush to do the Hana - it's that twisty you need a supply of sick bags and when we got there the waterfall was dry :arghh:

We've been down the Over Sea highway quite a few times and it's stunning in it's own right as a feat of engineering, especially when you consider that it was first a railway (single line) which was converted to a 2 lane road after the hurricane of early 1900's. When cars met they had to pull in their mirrors to avoid touching and the old rail were converted into guard rails for the road!

Get yer self over to the US and experience some roads which are almost empty Mike, it's really a nice thing to see. Even Alligator Alley across the lower end of Florida is similar.

May have done that one Tony, but can't remember the actual name, drove from Naples FL through the Everglades towards the Keys. Great drive - sadly not in a Zed.
Another great one is across the Death Valley Scenic from Vegas to Lone Pine - absolutely awesome.

Yes, that's the one Colin. Not spectacular as Hugh said as it's 124 miles and and almost dead straight apart from two sets of very slight curves along it. Never seen any 'gators up along the wire fencing either.:)

I've never driven outside of these shores but I've done a lot of end to enders here such as M1, M5, M6, M40, M42, M50, M54, M56, M18, M25 and probably more =))

I drive from Truro to Southampton, Pompey or London every Monday morning and do the return journey on Friday. Alas though, I'm usually driving a Fiesta Van and not my Zed

Not my photo but I have driven it in a Z3.
When I was working down in Slovenia, loading out our drilling equipment at the port of Koper, I made many friends and one of them worked nights at a casino and had a Z3 and I was allowed to use it during the day, first time I had driven one.
What did I do when I got home? Bought a Z3.

Not the one I'm thinking of then 'twas ~12 years ago - we did see a couple of `gators on side roads.

Have done four or five in Europe USA AND Canada the road along the pacific ocean from Calif to Canada is absolutely gorgeous and the Alps are my top of the list in Germany and Austria , a picture at every curve even if my wife was scared sh$&less going over the alps into northern Italy due to lack of guard rails. She didn't think those little stones every 10-15 ft were quite enough to stop a plunge and drop off over the edge. Go figure!! JIM
