Gearbox oil plugs removal

Hello all

Just a small problem.

Can't undo the gearbox drain and fill bolts.

The seem to be stuck firm.

Tried with a standard socket set but to no avail.

I'm just scared of breaking the sump of the gearbox while trying to remove them.

Shall I just leave it?

I have the oil now and a pump to fill it.

Many thanks

Mark

They are tight but I don't recollect it being that difficult when I did mine on the 2.8. I seem to remember a trace marker on the plugs showing if they have moved presumably put on by the factory, good indication if it has ever been done before. You could try shocking the plugs with a few taps of a hammer and also spray some shock and release spray on them which might help.

Don't give up as I think it is a worthwhile thing to do. What oil you gone for ?

I've only done 900 miles since last year so it didn't need a service.

I want to do some bits myself.

I feel quite happy doing small jobs.

It will have its inspection 1 next year to keep the book upto date.

Just a quick oil change to see it through.

All 5 greens present still.
