Hello all,

I'm going to change my gearbox oil.

A couple of questions:

Please confirm the best oil to use and the best place to buy it.

Also do I need any other parts I.e seals etc. (part numbers would be handy to have)

Apologies if this has been done to death.

Many thanks

Mark

The very best stuff you can get Mark is Royal Purple Syncromax available from these guys but it aint cheap, good stuff though;

Failing that the standard Castrol 75w90 stuff or Amsoil MTF from Opie oils.

Gearbox oil? Are you going to actually drive it? ;)

I had the gearbox oil changed last year using Amsoil Synthetic Manual Transmission Fluid MTF-1 supplied by Opie.........made a big difference on the gear changes....a lot smoother :)

A mate did the oil change as I seem to remember it was a bit of a pain to get access to the side filler if you did not have an oil pump.
