Do you guys and girls by any chance have any unused front foglights kicking around in your garage/shed? I am looking for both left and right, condition of the glass does not matter even if cracked.

Thanks

Brian

Hi Ian, as you have probably seen I have had my Z on track, my Z has no brake cooling ducts as standard so I thought I would see if I could make some. I do not want to change the appearance of my z by cutting the bumper etc and trying to get a stock after market air intake to fit the z not easy.
Last night I had a thought I could adapt a pair of fog lights by stripping off the front glass and removing the internals, attach a 50mm brake duct tube to the back, the brake duct could then be routed be pointed toward the disc/caliper, forced air would then be able to cool the brakes.
I would only anticipate using the brake ducts if I was on track so I would use my fog lights for 95% of the time but when needed I would replace the fog lights with the ducts. The great benefit of using the fog lights it that I can use the stock mountings on the car so putting back to OEM is no issue.

I'll take pics etc. when I do it and post my findings.

That sounds a really good idea and as you say save modifying anything irreversibly. Good luck with the trackdays.
