How To Guide Fitting Storm Motorwerks hanbrake

Fitted the SM handbrake billet today,
Fit handle first, if you have the interior chrome pack as I do the button cover will not fit over the button, its close but the chrome layer needs removing.

The gaitor needs to be inverted and slipped over the billet, I fiited a zip tie but didn't like the end result so removed it and it went on fine

Roll it over and snap in place

Now matches the gear knob,

Hi Sean! Having some trouble fitting the handbrake here cannot get the new one over the chrome button, how did you remove the chrome button? Help much appreciated

Usually the button on a handbrake lever simply unscrews off the end of the rod. Park the car in gear and leave the handbrake off though.

Hi! Thanks tony, turns out i need to sand the chrome paint off my button because the chrome button is slightly thicker than the standard one, that or buy a standard button and fit i guess...but im impatient and want it done today thank you!

I’m having the same issue here with my car. It has the chrome line button but my Storm Motorwerks button cover wont fit over the button as its around 0.5mm too thick.

Any ideas how to either adapt the chromeline button - or - remove it and replace with a standard button so I can add the Storm button sleeve?
