It's not a roadster, its not a Zed, it's not even a BMW - I'm going to get in to trouble with Admin one of these days.

But it IS interesting . . . I didn't know about this. And knowing of one or two members fondness for the marque, does that top speed put it in the Sports Car category ?

Hopefully the car makes an appearance at a car show one of these days . . .

Only if you put it in the general banter section, not the General Car Stuff or non-Zed Specific Stuff section

In the 70's I had an Anglia van and the engine just kept getting bigger it ending up with a 2L , it was fast and very dangerous.😱

I bought a twin cam anglia in the 70's it was an ex circuit/ sprint car with 7" firestone alloys and huge arches looked a bit like the hamlet advert. I had a standard one and stripped it and put all the electrics and glass and upholstery onto the twin cam and ran it for some time, good fun but needed a lot of juice.

Wonder if the owner has a colour coded kettle. . . . . ;)
Back in the day in Gainsborough there 2 guys who had the Anglebox with large engines, banded steel wheels (no alloys around then) and Mahoosive wheel arches to accommodate said banded wheels. This was back in the early to mid 70s.

Tony.
