Those of you that know already these fibreglass sills have been in development for a few months now. The moulds have been made and the first pair ready to be tested for fitment.

Due to the process these will be made in low batch numbers so orders will be slow to begin with. They will be priced at £250 a set. (Classicachworks)

This first mould has been made using the facelift shape so they’re good for pre facelift wide body and all facelifts.

Watch this space, the guys at classic Coachworks (kit car guys) have really put a lot of time and effort into making theses a good fit.

They look like they’re well made for sure Lee. You wouldn’t want a careless tyre fitter not getting his jack under the jack point though.

Tony.

ps. Is that an MG Magenta (the green kit car). in the last picture?

I have fit a pair on SWMBO's wide body, (the car, that is!), they go on easily enough, the only very small alteration is, you have to recess the little mounting tabs under the wings a little, as the sills' mounting tabs are a little thicker than the steel ones.
Apart from that, they are straight forward, the finish is reasonable, and just need the usual prep work as on steel ones, obviously they need a little trimming where they have come out of the mould, and you need to use plastic primer before the undercoat.
They are strong enough and well supported along the bottom, so I think they would withstand a thoughtless tyre fitter, better than he would SWMBO' wrath.
