It's Athens so doesn't rust to pieces!
Part of a display of classics at the hotel.

How is Athens?

I'm visiting for a couple of days next month.

There were demonstrations going on last year.

Love the little chrome map reading light. That's classic 60's/70's (yes, I liked me bling even back then;)). had one in my Mini.

Athens was great. If there are demos its limited to the Parliment square.
Could be general strikes in the run up to the next round of Troika demands.

Where in Athens will you be?

Pireus Terminal, we've done all the tourist stuff so will probably just head to the Marina nearby.

Shopping and Food.

Highly reccomend Zefyros for seafood in Mikrolimano

I did something right in a past life and have been blessed to have eaten seafood throughout Greece and have to say this was great. It's always better when sat at a table literally on the beach but for Athens this is really as good as island food. As is customary you can go to the kitchen and choose the very fish you want cooked too.
Nice seating overlooking the harbor. Just don't sit right at front tables as the Roma keep coming past to sell flowers, tissues etc.

Also had a very good hire car experience with Enterpise. No faff- simple booking online and their cars are on the airport. The cars are new too which was a pleasant change.
in UK I've found them to be crooks - they always say no damage when you collect the car and when you drop off they take 20minutes and go over it with a fine tooth comb looking for damage to charge you. Even going on hands and knees to look underneath when I dropped off. an Insignia in Canterbury once.
In Athens was an honest description of car an hand back took 5 mins with a reasonable looks over for damage.
