Zed's failed on second attempt on emissions. There not counting it as my retest but need to get it sorted. Tried a bottle of catclean and gave it a right good blast out before i took it in. Reading in co2 still sat at 0.54%. Just rang the local exhaust place and they've said there's 4 cats on it? Is this right? Don't want to take it down there and them try to rip my eyes out selling me 63 different sections. Any help much appreciated.

Just spoken to Andrew Page in Lincoln, they say there is 1 cat on you car. Twin down pipes go into one cat which connects to the rear half of the system. Available ex stock at £145.29 inc vat and also includes a fitting kit.

Tony.

Oh cheers Tony. That makes more sense to me. So looking at the pictures on line, is it all one section, down pipes into the cat or just the cat separate?

I think you have a manifold, 2 into 1 cat section and rear section. I will try to get mine on a ramp and have a look this afternoon.

Hi Dave, had mine on the ramp this afternoon. From manifold it has 2 leading to 2 cats which goes 2 into 1 and then into the rear section. Mine is still the original 1 piece system from front to rear. No joints at all. 2 oxygen sensors before and 2 after the cats. Took a few pictures if it helps.

Bloody hell! So how do you find our which to replace then Tony? Can they be tested individually? Excuse my ignorance but I really don't have a scooby with this. I believe although not certain that my system is standard except for the back box which is stainless. Pics could be handy to match up mate if you would tar.

That's the very point I was going to make Colin. I don't know if they're different. When I looked in the Bosal catalogue at work they don't even list any of the Z models any more, even Z4's. Anyhow this is what mine looks like on a 2000 2.0 W. Reg.
