Failed electrics

Hi everyone my z3 1.9 automatic had a flat battery so I put on charge for 8 hours. Came back and all the electrics are dead. No interior light, no ignition, no side lights no radio, nothing. Tried jump leads to the electric point under the bonnet and earth on the suspension mount and no electrics nothing. Help!!!

Did the battery accept the charge, has it got power? Check it with a Voltmeter.
If it has power then start looking at all the fuses could be a blown main fuse

Thanks for your help. I bypassed the battery by putting jump leads onto the connections under the bonnet. Im going to look at the fuse box next.

Do check the battery connections are tight and clean and check out the pyro connection on the + terminal, they have been known to work loose and disconnect the power feed on that cable. Its there to disconnect the battery in a collision situation by blowing the connection apart to cut power.

Thanks I've never heard of a PYRO connection ill track it down and check it. Ive ordered a new battery delivery Monday.

If your car is fitted with the safety terminal on the battery then worth checking its intact.
