Wanted Estoril Blue A Pillar and above windscreen trim pieces and wo

As above, these are the only parts I'm really missing now from completing the rebuild (other than getting the thing running of course)

Two A Pillar trim peices in Blue, run up from the dashboard to the top of the windscreen each side.
The trim piece that runs along the top of the windscreen inside holding the interior light.

If anyone knows where I might source these, I would most grateful since at present I've plain black ones installed.

I may be wrong but I think, after searching eBAy , that the top piece only comes in black based on the fact I've never seen one coloured. JIM

I thought so too initially but after seeing a couple of cars for sale, I went onto RealOEM and BMW list them there.

At £170 you can see why I'd like to get a used part. And I need parts 2 L&R also, and they're about £80 a piece. £400 for 3 pces of trim, you're having a laugh.

Get your black ones sprayed/dipped, its got to be cheaper than buying new if you cannot find them S/H.

Hey Brian, thanks for your post.

I do have Estoril Blue paint in an Aerosol but feel it will be quite a bit out. However, I have a good motor factors near me and think if I take in a door card or something similar they maybe able to match it I imagine.

The little caps that cover the 3 dashboard securing screws running along the bottom of the windscreen? Even they come in blue to match the dashboard, how much? £20 a PIECE!!!! For flimsy wee plastic caps. I think I will going along the painting route, thanks for the heads up.

Some Halfords have their own paint mixing set ups. They mixed the colour for me and it was spot on.

Halfords only mix to manufacturers paint codes. I have used them for several different cars now, colour match always spot on, regardless of what material you are spraying. They're not cheap but very worthwhile.

I've sent him a message asking if he can be more sensible with his prices and sharpen his pencil considering two of the pieces are damaged. Will see how we get on, he's a couple of nice mirrors too if anyone's interested.

Frankie or Jim? Tony, you'll have to help me out with these guys, I'm not sure who you're talking about. Maybe they'll stick their heads in sometime and let me know their thoughts.

Still waiting to hear back from the seller but in the meantime, I found another guy with the upper trim willing to send it to me, I'm just waiting to hear back regarding the A-Pillar trim pieces.

Edited to add: I just noticed it was Jim who sent me the link the in first place. He's in Canada, this guy says he won't ship outside the US, :-(

eBay now offer global shipping via their own logistics and automatically enrol members unless they opt out.
Hence you now see lots of items from other countries on your local eBay site but some sellers don't realize that they have been in enrolled in the eBay international shipping programme..

For the 3 parts I'm after, he's looking $95 in postage and import fees.

Sorry, but £165 for the 3 pieces is too much. AND, 2 of them are damaged!!!
