Nothing wrong with being friendly ;)
You tell that to the group of 15 or so MX-5 owners Duncan and I passed on the West Country Cruse. We waved at the first few, got nothing back except one of them shouting "you're in the wrong car mate".

Miserable gits. I found their write up thread on the MX5 owners club, and was tempted to sign up and praise them for their friendliness :ymdevil:

Ah yes...all single syllables I notice.....it was obviously as a result of some rapid introspective insight as they watch their greys dissolving in front of their very eyes...(I need caffeine that was waaaaay too harsh)

Me, I wave and flash with a smile, any car with roof down, from Peugeot to Ferrari and I feel good with or without a reply from their side....:)
No need to start a fight for which car is the best; I think is the car you enjoy more.......;)
The rest is just education........:D

Educating is another word for telling, does not mean what is told is correct, now learning and obtaining knowledge is completely different, and what is learned and what is known is that the Z3 is the best!

When I was child my mother told me that when I say hello to somebody I pay respect first to myself, so doesn't matter if it's answered or not, I keep saluting ignorant peoples...now I'm too old to give up!;)

Lovely sentiment, i was always bought up to respect your elders, shame it's not followed by today's youth!

I second that emotion. :) I guess the MX5 owners love their steeds as much as we love ours, but a smile costs nothing, and a wave to recognize a shared love of top down driving in any car gladdens the heart.

The other week I was driving on the Cawston Road from Aylsham when I spotted another Z3 coming the opposite way. I immediately put my hand up over the screen and gave them a wave and a smile. I got 2 beaming smiles and vigorous waves back. The good feeling I got from that? Free, but priceless!

Bonzo.

Sorry, what is a T5? I know what a T34 is! I would certainly return a wave from one of those! :wideyed:

Getting a wave over here seems to depend on the province you live/drive in. I live 20 min north of Amsterdam and Z3 drivers around here will absolutely not acknowledge a friendly wave. On the other hand, drive down south and you get waved at by nearly all Z3 drivers, even when you have got the hard top on.
