I fitted a dash cam in Shirl's Eos this afternoon and generally speaking the process is much the same for any car type. First thing to find is an ignition fed live fuse in the fuse box and using an "Add-a-fuse" prepare a live feed for the camera.

Then, using a Cig. lighter extension socket cut down to required length join the red wire to your new live feed wire and the black wire to an earth point on the car body as above. Insert the plug on the power lead into the socket and for security bind with a couple of laps of insulation tape.

Now choose a mounting point on the windscreen for the sucker mount and attach the camera to it, connect the power lead to the camera and route the cable along the headlining and down the door pillar rubber as in the pictures. The plastic trim tool comes in handy for this bit.

Any spare length of power lead can be tidied up and secured with some cable ties.

This camera is of Chinese decent (like most things these days) and has an aluminium body and an easy to follow menu, the instructions are in very good English too. Also a 170 deg. wide angle lens.

I bought it off eBay and delivery from the UK was 3-4 days, cost £30.98. First impressions are very good and I will update later on.

Tony.

ps. Whether you buy this camera or a different one the fitting procedures still apply.

I think so Tec, sound isn't top quality or was that Shirl's singing ?=))=)). The cabin of the Eos, like most 4 seat cabrio's is a bit more draughty than a 2 seater. For the money I think it's quite good.
