Very briefly i have a ebay chappie who says he has a mint head unit. Not so comforting is he reckons the display is red. Can Anyone else shed light on this or were ornge and red normal oem's colours??

I've never seen a red display in BMWs.
However if it is described as "mint" it could be green ...,,,

Just wondering if it is a genuine BMW one, or perhaps one of the rebadged ones. Does it have an ///M badge stuck on the front?

If you want you can PM me the eBay link and I'll have a look see for you.

Rob,

I'm pretty sure that it was a Rover unit rebadged if it's got an ///M sticker on it. Technically they are the same unit, but it's not a BMW OEM unit in the strictest sense!

Hope that helps, Gary
