Sorry if this is a dumb question or the answer is obvious or elsewhere, but what are the points about on our profiles. Understand posts and ratings but not the purpose of points - how do you get them, what do they mean?

Thank you!:(

Historically forums have used post count to show “dedication” to the community, but it’s actually easy to get a high post count - you just post a lot. Points (trophies) works differently in that it rewards interaction with all areas of the site, and not just the ability to post a lot. I personally disregard post count, and prefer the point system.

Points (or trophies) are awarded when post count milestones are hit, but also when you have your posts liked. This shows what you post is valued (although there are one or two who for some reason still click like on every post which defeats its purpose). Other points come in for uploading images, how long you’ve been registered and so on.

As you gain more points your rank increases, and people are aware it’s because of your overal engagement with the community rather than racking up posts in general.

Full list of trophies here https://zroadster.org/help/trophies

I just like to interact with the members I meet and those who I likely never will meet. The amount of posts is irrelevant in my opinion, if I can help someone I'm happy to do so and if I can cheer someone up with a little laugh, likewise.:)
