Came across this, a fairly even split, what say you?

I think the Dolly edges it for me.

Would you like details on how it compares to other models in the 2002 range?

Assuming both cars are in A1 condition.

If I was hitting the classic car shows regularly I'd want to turn up in the triumph.

But if I had to use it as a daily then it'd be the beemer.

In an ideal world I'd have both - and a garage big enough.

I had the poor relation of the Dolly Sprint back in the day, an 1850 Dolly. I spent more time trying to balance the carbs than driving it=)).

It was like driving round in an armchair though:thumbsup:

I had two Dolomite sprints and loved both of them, I wouldn't mind a 2002 for comparison. The biggest problem with both as with almost any car of that era is their tendency to start self recycling as soon as they leave the faciory.

Yeah, not the best era for cars Mike, a shame really.

In all honesty it was the non existent corrosion protection that highlighted and accelerated the lack of build quality.
Another car which suffered from the same, all be it far quicker, desolving of the bodywork was the Alfa Sud. One of the few cars I have driven which compared favourably with the BMC Mini.

I had driving lessons in a Dolly's poor relation, the Toledo. It looked similar, but that's where the likeness ended. :(

When we got wed I had a Maroon 2 door Himan Avenger 1300 with the White Vinyl half roof. Rostyle wheels and tan interior. A few years later I had a 1600 LS Chrysler Avenger 4 door, metallic blue and a black vinyl roof.
