Be honest here, do you know the last 7 digits of you VIN by memory? I do it is LL73078 and parts retailers think it is strange I can quote it!

No. Its written down. Reminds me of when i was stopped by the police while riding my motorbike years ago.

I was asked if the bike was mine?
Yes i replied.

What is the registration number? While i was still sat on the bike.
My reply was i don't know it but if i needed to it's written down on the number plate at the back of the bike.

I was asked was i being funny!

I know mine and the one for the zed but not Sheila's but it is only 5 months old so no need to look for parts yet. I know all the reg numbers as I have to write them on the visitors book when I go to Clients. I can still remember my NI number as I had to quote that when I went to different Mine sites to access my Training Records.
