Hi all, does anyone know anyone local to me (Mansfield) that does dent removal? I've emailed the local chips away guy but he's never bothered to reply, and also what I can expect to pay for two dents, one on the Zed in the boot lid and one on Jues Freelander?

Thanks

Haven't used them myself but one of my buddies from our London office had them to repair a couple of bumper scuffs on his company car that his missus did when she took it out for the first time.
He said he was quoted around £120 + vat per corner. Not sure about pulling dents and it as a couple of years ago too.

Have a number but or two but ones in leicester the other up here in Donny both great blokes
You may find the one in the zed boot nit removable due to the bracing on the inside but may be worth a shot.
Most charge by car and then by panel had all the zeds removed for about £80 in Donny and they where over all panels.
Will search out a number if you want your not too far away to visit them really.

Thanks mate, could do with someone that comes to the house with it being two cars. Don't tell me the boot ding won't come out :(. It'll end up being a trip upto Seans for paint.

My s***'s custom!
Mate, I used a really good guy recently who did a steering job getting a dent out of my zed above the rear arch (long story but it's sorted now!) I can't remember the firm but I'll dig the recept out tomorrow and pass on the details.
He removed my rear light cluster to get access and got rid of ALL trace of the dent. He charged my the basic call-out charge of £75. Nothing more. Top work and top value...

That is the cars nickname 'Bubbles'

The guy who did ours was from Italy and once finished 4 weeks work in the UK was off to Sweden I think after a storm there.

I have used Dent Devils, not long after I got the Zed in 2008, someone hit the rear wing with their door. That year at the BMW car club annual Gaydon gathering, Dent Devils were doing a special deal for £50 a dent so I gave them a try. the result was perfect.
A couple of years ago something fell of a shelf in the garage and dented the boot lid so I called them. Their standard price was £75. The chap arrived and tried to remove it but it was very difficult due to the double skinning. When he had finished, it was about 90 per cent fixed but he said he couldn't charge me for it because it wasn't prefect.
He left me his mobile number for future use. In 2014 driving past Lake Garda a huge fir cone fell on the bonnet leaving another dent. When I got home I rang the Dent Devils man who came and removed it as an unofficial job for £20.

I've used 3 different firms. 1 in Swindon, 2 in Swansea. All extremely good.

As a rule of thumb £50 for the first dent and £25 for subsequent ones up to a point and then you'd expect to pay by the day. I had about 20 dents taken out of my brother's 1.9 and it was £200 I think.

To the best of my knowledge there are no panels on a Z3 that are inaccessible. For the rear wings I took the door aperture trims off, loosened the bolts and it creates a small gap to get a tool in. Alternatively they can drill a small hole through the inner arch and do it like that. I didn't have the front wings done but you could do the same with them.

As long as you don't use a clown you'll be mighty impressed with what they can do.

The dent is at the top of the boot lid near the edge where it drops down towards the reg plate. There is a beam inside the boot lid which is the worrying bit.

You'll be amazed where they can wiggle their tool into.

And like I say, they can always drill a hole in the inner skin. Plug it with a rubber grommet and/or get it filled next time it gets paint.
