Are you talking about the adjustable front struts? They can be offset in the hole.

Can They? What purpose would that serve?
I assumes they were all central. Lesson time

google haha
I've got no interest in performance mods or changing the car in anyway from how BMW intended it.

But those things pop up fairly frequently on the forum and there were plenty on display at Santa Pod.

Beyond me and no desire to understand ;)

Adjustable camber top mounts to dial in camber for better turn in if desired.
Can be achieved using e36 M3 mounts too but not adjustable.
The M models have the mount set backwards for castor (together with different arms)

Actually in Nefyn. My, that took a while.
Model of Z
2.2i Sport
Fitted similar top mounts to mine after the bloke at ATS told me the toe-in was OK but the camber was out, "and they can't be adjusted, mate". Oh yes they can, and it made a difference to the front end, both sides were leaning the same way but with them put straight definitely feels better. I can only assume that at some point in the past one of the lower arms got changed and the new one was a few mm different, not enough to be dodgy but enough to show up on tracking gear. They also get rid of a big bit of squidgy rubber, never a bad idea. There's a spherical bearing in there instead.
