Hi all, I am nearly finished converting my 1998 2.8 Z3 from Auto to manual and I have just fitted a clutch pedal and found the spring and bump stop (probably the wrong name!) missing - kindly take a look at the attached - the missing items are circuled in red. I am told that some people remove these spring bump stop items from their clutch to give it more 'feel', but personally, I have never heard of this! any advice on if I should get this spring bump stop or just leave it as it is better off anyway?

Cheers!

Not sure really I initially thought you were talking about items 16/17 as this is the bump stop for the pedal and you can get adjustable ones which is supposed to make using the clutch more pleasurable. I guess what you are talking about is a spring damper between the pedal and the master cylinder which if removed would mean the pedal having a more direct feel so can understand the reasoning. I suppose it is a suck it and see and a personal preference as to what feels best to you really.
