Clutch pedal travel Adjustment

Hi Again . On the 1999 Z3M Coupe is the clutch manual(cable operated) or Hydraulic? I cant find the fluid reservoir unless it is like the Porsche 928 using the same reservoir for both the brakes & the clutch?
Any way my problem is how do i adjust the travel? I need some more freeplay in the clutch pedal !

Ron,

The clutch is hydraulic and does share the same reservoir as the brake fluid, not sure if you can adjust the clutch pedal travel though.

A popular upgrade which also changes the clutch feel is to change the clutch hose (and fluid) to a stainless steel type.

Yes, changing your clutch hose for a braided one from Earls is a great modification - http://www.earls.co.uk/index.php

You can also get them with the clutch delay valve removed, which makes for a better clutch release action. Finally getting the system bled properly would also help.

Hi Each , Many thanks I have just ordered the pipe from Earls . With the Bank holiday it may not arrive until Tuesday ,so I hope to fit it midweek?
