Clutch noise

Hi everyone

brought my first z3 02 plate need a bit of work doing on it just a quick question once I’ve pressed the clutch all the way down and keep constant pressure I get a clicking sound

any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi, welcome, can you elaborate a bit, is there a noise when you change gear, and quiet while driving while your foot is not on the pedal?

That’s correct it’s all smooth though the gears noise only happens when the clutch pedal is fully pressed in there is a video on you tube but doesn’t show you how the problem was fixed

Hmm... that is just how SWMBO's problem started, more or less... It gradually got worse and developed into squealing, followed by grinding!!
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but, if you go onto my post 'new clutch time' it is all there in gory detail.
It sounds, to me, like the release bearing is on its way out, do you know how old the clutch is? the bearing is a pretty flimsy design imho and as soon as the noise started, it did not last very long.
