After the refurb I put 3 coats of wax on them, so they are nice and shiny.

Can I still use my Bilberry cleaner on them to get rid of the stubborn stuff, or will it remove the wax. I'm thinking the stubborn stuff may be tar spots, which the Bilberry won't shift anyway....

Hello gaz.

I suspect the burb will remove the applied wax.

If your wheels are waxed to that extent you won't need to use a wheel cleaner.

Standard wash solution should suffice.

If you do use burb then just re-apply a coat of wax or other wheel protectant.

The 3m stuff is probably the best around.
