But '255 is nearly the number of britons killed at 269', no wonder they picked that plate then, and 646 is almost 649..Really?
that's clutching at straws.

Top Gear was the best entertainment on TV.
Now we will have that annoying tosser presenting it, and if it's anything like TFI Friday with his groupie hanger-onners in the audience cheering at everything he says, then god help us.

Clarkson for prime-minister? no..... Clarkson for God.....
and if anyone doesn't agree, they need taking out in front of their family to be shot...

To be honest, I do like Clarkson, by 'sell by date' I meant TG.....

I know what you mean Mike, I think he is an entertaining sort of bloke, it just got like "I'm God and can do no wrong" and sod the implications to anyone else, especially re the Argentina trip. The comment about the slope on the bridge obviously was offensive to some people, but until it was aired in the news I had never heard of it and I bit millions of other's hadn't either. Someone must have researched that and these no. plates so it was done for effect?

We will never know Tony I don't think. Obviously, as with any place of work, you can pish people off and he seems to have done that and got some bad press in the process. With management within the BBC, as any other company for that matter of fact, he was never going to win.

The one thing I really liked, even though I am a fan of Clarkson, is that he was reported as saying he would get the Oisin the sack. Ultimately it was the other way around, that sort of prima donna attitude deserved the slap in the face that Clarkson got in return, though I don't suppose it will change him.

I have a friend who works for Aga, the cookers are made here in Telford.
Clarkson phoned to get a repair carried out and was not happy with the time they quoted to get there. He then went on to say do you know who I am? (not Ronnie Pickering by the way) and he could lose them so much business, to which Aga replied that they view all their customers with equal value and respect, and all have the same timescales quoted. He got the repair carried out when they were good and ready.

Slightly off topic, still to do with cars though, when I was on holiday on Jersey, I met people that had dealt with Nigel Mansell, I said, ah, brilliant, one of my all time heroes.....Yeah, but he is a total asshole they said....

I've never met Mansell but that would be my opinion of him too. Brilliant driver, total tw*t.

Went to watch my son play at Woodbury Park golf club once, Mansell's old course.
He had a trophy cabinet there in his racing museum which was full of the most amazing trophies of all shapes and sizes.
But we never saw him though.

Well all I can say is if Clarkson wants to redeem himself with me all he has to do is get a knighthood for raising money for underprivileged children. Until then the mans an over privileged idiot who for some reason people seem to enjoy watching on TV. Him and Borris plus Evans would make a good partnership.-----------------
