If I remember rightly from last service the car takes 5 litres. Is that right?

8 think its prob more like 4 and a half, this is why they sell it in 4lt bottles - so you have to buy the more expensive 1 lt to get the half, though on a 6 pot it may be more.

The 6 pots need 6.5 litres of oil.
That's an excellent price for quality oil,I think I'll get some.

Yes you will need 6.5 ltr so it's likely you will have to buy 2 X 5ltr. So may not be such a great buy, If they will sell you 2 X 1 ltr. with a 5 ltr. I'd have some too.

I just bought some Quantum 5w-40 fully synthetic from eBay cheap at £16.99 inc p&p for 5 litres, didn't have to leave the house.
It's the stuff that VAG use and sell often for £30 for the 5 litres.

Littlefeller and I headed off to Bromsgrove to make our purchases followed by some more blue sky top down motoring around the country roads to Littlefeller house.
Sayingby goodbye back to mine with a blast down the duel carriageway to mow the lawn.

Good oil we used that at work, but 5 ltr isn't enough for a 2.8.

That's why I bought 10 litres for £34, next oil change i can just buy the one 5 litre carton!

6.5 lt is alot of oil, lucky low rider brought 10lt then.
It was a gloriously sunny drive, great fun just whats needed on a day like today. i got 5lt, oil filter and an air filter all for around £30 and a good drive in the sun to boot.

Good price - not sure about 5w-30 though? Are you sure thats right? I thought we need 5-40?

4-30 for my sticky valves doesn't really make any difference if you use 5-30 or 5-40. i tries 10-40 and it made it worse.
