Centre Loudspeaker

Can I retrofit a speaker between the two seats, if so what would I need? Looking for the speaker and grill and whatever else needed.

It can be done but you may need to retrofit it non oem you could use the bmw made sub housing but it requires an amp etc.

They're aftermarket hoops.

I wads thinking more like a smaller speaker to replace the little cubby hole .

But by the time you have brought it and its fixings Roys way is a better retrofit.
You could a adapt it and face the speaker forward and leave the oem lid on and vent it forward.

The front box becomes just a vent/grill the upper box is all used to contain the box.
