I've just watched Car SOS and tonight's featured car was a 1964 Volvo P1800
Taken as a wreck to restored to concours level. The underneath of the car was like new.

Finished in cream with red seating and a signature from Sir Roger Moore
Right at the end of the programme
Sir Roger Moore makes a comment =))

I'm looking forward the rest of the series

I know while we have all these modern cars /sports cars and hyper cars that are computer designed with all the space age tech. Some of the old hand penned designs are stunning in their own right.
And while they might not handle or be as reliable and economic as modern cars they have sooo much going for them in so many ways to the extent the right classic can have more wow factor than even the most exotic cars of today:thumbsup::)

How wonderful would it be to have Fuss and his team to work on my Zed to bring it back to concours level.

I know the man who had his Mk1 Cortina done by these guys on this show, looks can be deceiving. As a kid I loved The Saint's Volvo, always been a classic.

The Saint was an iconic serie in my childhood. We were waiting Saturday evening , 8 PM , religiously!
Sir Roger Moore and his Volvo... A very classy couple!
We have one in our club and at each meeting he is wearing ST1 plates!

I love those cars, there's one in Winnipeg that I keep asking if it's for sale but no success. It's an older than me couple that own it and it's low mileage and all original! One day maybe. JIM
Who knows? Never give up!
Wish you good luck Jim!

What makes you think a P1800 wouldn't be reliable ? Check this out http://www.autoblog.com/2013/09/18/irv-gordons-volvo-p1800-has-hit-3-million-miles/

I wonder how many modern cars, designed to last 10 years, can go up to 3mil miles? How many control unit, computers and sensors need to be changed in 3 mil miles?
