Spalding South Lincs. Near enough?
Organise an event and folk will come. Loads of events throughout the course of the year advertised in the Events Section.
Doesn't always work, when Tony had to cancel his Tour round Lincolnshire there were 16 cars down for it and not to disappoint people Paul Rice offered to run his Tour of pretty much the same area around the Lincolnshire Wolds on the same date. Not one person took up the offer! I couldn't understand why people who had booked hotels for the weekend especially, as well as locals didn't take up the offer.

I can only agree with that comment Andy, but on the flip side if someone offers to arrange something and gets zero response then he'll likely not bother another time.

True Tony but if a 5 minute run to the end of the road is organised folk won't come. As you know, if some effort is put in, folk will come.
True, but that doesn't apply to what Paul was offering.

Also true Tony, I'm not referring to that, I'm informing the OP that generally, if the organiser puts the effort in, folk will come like the vast majority of events on here.
