Hi all,

Just thought I'd share a recent experience of a friend.

He bought a Nissan sporty thing that had been wrapped in white.

Two panels were damaged, quote was £250 per panel to re wrap so he paid £100 for the whole lot to be removed.

Where the original wrap had been trimmed at the edges there were cuts in the paintwork.

I'm sure that won't be the case with all wrappers, but worth mentioning if your having your car wrapped, or thinking of buying one already done.

Great point Tim. I've watched a few YouTube videos of cars being wrapped and been a bit shocked by their scalpel use. Definitely something that you should consider if you are going to get a wrap. Always worth seeing the kind of cars they've wrapped previously, because I think you can be fairly sure if they are doing high end cars they are incredibly careful. If it's all low budget skidders then I'd leave well alone.

I believe, no matter how careful a person is at applying paint protection film or wrap, there will always be a heavier lean of the knife in places, as the job is a very tedious one, requiring a significant amount of concentration throughout the process.

It also depends on who did the wrapping, a professional company would have better techniques. This is something I observed when I had my old M wrapped again.
