This car so far has been the most testing and difficult. On day one most bolts were cut off and to make things more fun all 4 M6 cap heads on the beam plates were locked solid. So on the first day we had a solid 4 hours just tackling them just to get the subframe out, in the end we had to cut the plate.
so with the limited photos I did take she at least looks better now.
The famous cap heads.
slightly crispy diff.
One thing we noticed was the exhaust setup, the headers have been taken from a 2.8, along with Cats and the back box welded on. Who ever owned it previously wanted the cats removed from the headers. I run mine like this on my track car for better flow.
Another first was being able to push out a beam core by hand these were seriously toast.
that was day one, today I was flying solo in this crippling heat and managed to get the rear back together and looking fresh. Again one of the shaft splines refused to go in so that took me hours to sort.
All torqued up ready to be installed. Just waiting on a couple of bits to arrive and I’ll continue.
