Drove the Z out of garage this morning and found n/s/f side light lens broken and scratched fender. Scratched my head wondering if it had happened day before in public car park, son of 43yrs points out small pieces of lens on garage floor."No Way Hozai" I bellowed as his WRY smile hit my eye. It seems that I moved a nuisance 100mm concrete block into my way not outa the previous day. We ( He ) had a laugh and I secretly welled up inside. Mobile body repair man needed for car and driving test needed for me. Now just in case any one of you see it before it's fixed, I've owned up. Any one had a similar knock and is brave enough to own up?????????:wtf::arghh: " I knew that bloody s/s exhaust was too loud, I never heard a thing" I said to my son, " not to worry dad we booked you an eye test last week. :watching: :happy::happy:

I love the emphasis on the correct spelly of 'wry' situated right next to the terrible spelling of the spanish name 'José' AKA Hozai.
What a great sense of humour you have! (All on purpose, I have no doubt!) ;)

Jim, I hoped for a little sympathy not to make you laugh hilariously, after all my credibility with my son has been irretrievably damaged and even worse he'll grass me up to the wife,:meh: never mind the damage to the zed. Lol

@Rha, I do sympathize, what I thought funny was your son booked you an eye test when clearly you hadn't heard the scraping. After all you did indeed see it? So please point this out to your son and maybe suggest it's he that needs help!! JIM

Jim I have already pointed out to my son that his loyalty should be to his father and not grass to his mum cos back when I helped him move out I found something under his bed and never mentioned it to his mum nor him. Little white lies can often get you outa trouble as well as in, Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.:drinks:

It's a bitter taste for both happenings of Rha and Phil.a and like in "Murphy's laws" it's always happening to the things (car) you like most!:(
I had so many in these 30 years (driving different cars) that I can write a book and I entirely assume the facts.:shy:
But I have an explanation: when you drive a car with no "appeal" to you , you focus on the road and technical commands ; when you drive a car that you really enjoy/ love, you get these butterflies in the stomach and you don't focus so much (or entirely) on the road and traffic......so we pay the price! with stupid action or actionless, that we can't understand after:banghead:....when we are normal again!:)
So guys, yes, it's happening to all of us but not all of us admit this in public!:D
The good result is that if you share to someone, you feel a relief......:)

Nice one Phil, (the post no the oops) so glad I'm not on my own, I'm still putting the wife off going out in it. Perhaps I should own up to her. Just got back from helping son DIY and he assures me he wouldn't have grassed. Thank goodness for that cos I was about to offer him the use of the Z, not that it would trouble me, well not much anyways.

Zeti, I wonder what sort of relief I'm gonna feel when I tell her I actually put the object in the way in the first place, forgot it was there, then hit it, talk about three times a lady. No pun intended Ladies.!!!!!:bored:

Well, Well, I've really started something now, just keep to subject even though I wouldn't mind you lot owning up to some miss behaviour. Really like the bit " though it might go away" PMSL, know the feeling Phil.:):):);)

I have hit a single decker bus. (318i)
I have hit a truck. (Company car, Ford Sierra Cosworth, totaled)
I have rolled a Land Rover. (Off roading)
I have spun a Formula Ford racing car.
I have lost the front wheel on a go cart.

And I am sure there are a few more if I think about it.
