To continue! Nothing went wrong, someone tried to pinch my piece of blue blanket and picture of Kelly Brook that's all. (Keep up).

Well I'm fully recovered now, ;) but not happy, because according to the Mods. It seems I have upset a lot of people on the forum with some of my recent posts, described as gibberish, childish and crap!

First of all I wish to apologize unreservedly to any forum member that was upset in any way by any of my posts.
I never set out to rock the boat in any way, but just tried to be a little different and provide a little light relief from the usual subjects and posts. Well, it seems I have failed miserably in that.

When on the forum and posting, I like to imagine I'm in a pub and bantering with people face to face in a natural way, but of course you're not, and so you can't judge their reactions and feelings.

I am unsure of what to do now, whether to leave the forum, or just visit as a guest for a while and see how I feel. I would certainly miss it all.

The very best to you all.

For now,

Allan (Bonzo)

We don't want anyone to leave, Bonzo. We thoroughly enjoyed you and Chris' company on the Bure Valley Train Trip! and hoped that you would be regularly joining us to partake of the EAC cruises more often!!

Please think again and change your mind!!

If we were in the pub together right now, I would probably tell you to man the f*** up, and keep being yourself, and stay with us on this forum.

The beauty about the internet is a certain 'freedom of speech'. However, the beauty about these little boxes we type in to submit our responses is that we can re-read our comments and consider (and not neccessarily change) what we have written/who our audience is, before we hit send.

What REALLY needs to happen, is for there to be a uniform method for portraying 'tone of voice' in typed format to be implemented across the worldwidewebternet.

THESE: http://imgur.com/gallery/2nOJR (8 New Punctuation Marks We Desperately Need) NEED to become common language on this and many other forums!

Personally, I have enjoyed your's, and others' witty remarks and, possibly even more, the responses of members who don't get them.

Regards, and best of luck whichever path you take,
David

awww thats a lovely post Alan :) seriously
as said, the problem is that not everyone has the same sense of humour and as such even a minority can call the shots on what goes on as regards to humour or feel of a forum, i run a forum myself and understand how difficult it can be to reach a place where there is a happy medium, it takes time and it takes a few ott remarks for people to understand where they stand and how far they can push things. After the post you have just made it is obvious that you are not the smart ass loud mouth you tried to make yourself out to be, you are obviously quite a sensative guy and have listned to what was said and are willing to change to suit others in order to stay on the forum. What you suggest is the best idea imo take a breather and see how you feel in a week or so, the banter will be missed :) we will try keep it going for you, least hardtop will anyway lol
