I guess it should save your void from getting penetrated for a while too..............nothing worse. Maybe a thumbs up is inappropriate here have another.

Sorry to talk dull stuff and all, but how bad was the spring broken?

It was broken in into two obviously but the break was very low down near to where it sits so it was hard to notice to be honest other than the odd noise every now and then. It has not come out or anything like that so lucky really.

Not one to quote the bible, but I was laughing in church to myself after a reading of the bible about Zebedee. He was the father of James and John and was in his boat with them near the shore when Christ came walking along and invited the boys to follow him saying: "I'll make you fishers of men.". They followed him. What struck me as funny was that it would have been the first time in history where he could have said with justification: "Jesus Christ, where are you going with my kids?"

ps. to keep OT I fitted a spring on the front of a P307 last weekend. We have an hydraulic spring compressor at work, which while sometimes you have to have 2 or 3 compressions to get the spring squashed up ready to put onto the strut that's easy pumping a ram by your foot. I had to do that with my compressor which is manually operated by hand and a 1/2" drive ratchet. Keeps you fit if nothing else.
