Chrome outer door handles available on eBay. I just fitted mine from a seller in Germany. Excellent product.

Thanks Tony. Will look up now. Just finished restoring the soft top with renovo black and despite some negative feedback it turned out well. I should have taken before and after pics. Still finding my way around the forum.

Mine are stick on covers but they don't look cheap, some do and will lose their "chrome" finish over a couple of winters( I know I had some). As far as I'm aware you cannot chrome outer door handles, some members have had them painted in the body colour to colour code them.HTH.

Very nice. Which ones did you choose? We added some to ford focus before and they all needed extra glue so they stuck in proper. Itd b great to see the link or just type the add title from fleebay.

I'm pretty sure they can be chromed T-, I have a product that allows me to chrome just about anything and once my adjustable voltage regulator is fixed I'll give it a try. After all they chrome all the plastic in most cars these days. JIM

I missed out the word, get, there Jim. As can't in " can't get chrome handles" apart from DIY.

You are correct Jim, but it's not all plastics, only the ones that can hold a static charge, they do it on cars as they then don't need the heavy metal substrate, and plastic is cheaper and can make more interesting shapes.

True Zed, what I have puts a conductive coating on just about anything. My regulator is being fixed at the school that is building my drag car, must check into what's happening with it. I may just use my battery charger and experiment. JIM

Electroforming is very tricky to get the surface conductive and well shiny for the chrome to stick to and then its the case of building up a thick enough layer. Ive seen some black chroming that looked really neat best results are by dipping tho. Ive done some gold and silver plating before and talking from experiance. There are some good kits from gaterosplating, very helpful guy.

Thanks Paul, I appreciate the info. I just like to try different things and this looked interesting to me. I bought all of the supplies a while ago and then had a couple of years of poor health slowed me down. May call on your experience if you don't mind. JIM

We copper plate 13% and 22% threaded gas tight chrome items for its high anti-galling properties and after years of shipping equipment over to a specialist in Great Yarmouth UK we tried doing it in house.
We soon started shipping equipment back to Great Yarmouth.
