The time has come to move on our 1998 2.8. She’s been in the family 9 years this year. It was my first Z3 when I was 23 and was handed over to my Dad when I bought a Z3M.
She’s got a very colourful history as she was the first Zed to undergo the full Zedshed treatment. Every bush, link and arm has been replaced. She also underwent a step by step rolling road experiment with all the engine mods that can be done to the single Vanos 2.8. She now puts out a respectable 227bhp.
The spec of the car is good, she has heated seats non sport, chrome roll hoops, chrome grills extended leather which is all in great condition. Also has the LSD and can confirm this is in working order. The front brakes have been upgraded to 300mm and The mileage is currently 147,000.
She does have a few faults, the drivers door barrel spins, the pin has fallen out the back and dropped into the door. The central locking works fine off the brick so you don’t really notice this or you lock the car from the boot. The car has all original paint so the front could do with a respray but looks fine at 10 paces. The onboard computer has PPP displayed don’t think it liked a trickle charger over winter. I have a spare to go with the car.
This is priced cheap to cover the cost of a new purchase and for a quick sale. £1950
I’ll let the the photos do the rest of the talking. For further questions please send a PM.
