Hi Guys,
So I've decided to part with my Z3.
£2,850.00 *REDUCED*
Sensible offers only please; happy to listen to all. Autotrader prices for identical models (year/mileage/spec etc) currently range between £4,500 - £7,995, but given this has a couple of unfinished jobs, I'm happy to compromise. The car is listed elsewhere at a fractionally higher price! PM only to discuss offers please.
I’ve included a number of images, along with a full and honest, and long, detailed description below. Overall, the car runs mechanically great with no known issues – I purchased the car in June 2017 and drove it c.170 miles home from its previous home, without any issues at all (it’s first proper run out with me as the owner). I had it MOT'd as scheduled and continued to use the vehicle during the summer months, mainly taking my son to Football on sunny Saturdays, however the car rarely got used as much as it deserved – similar to the previous owner, a 54 year-old female solicitor, who owned the car for the previous 11 years and commuted backwards and forwards to the office; she bought it from her friend/colleague, who owned it from 2005 (3 years from when it was new). I spent a long time searching for the perfect unabused Z3, and whilst this car shows some typical age-related marks (as expected for 16 years old), mechanically/engine-wise and historically it seems to be great. I am no way deluded or have huge expectations, as I appreciate it's only worth what someone is willing to pay, so if the vehicle is something you would be interested in then feel free to make a realistic, sensible offer.
Thanks in advance

Previous owners (5)
Mr Thomas W***** (bought in 2002 New from Bowker Preston)
?
Mrs C***** (bought Used in c.2004 from Bowker Preston)
Miss Alison R********, Solicitor (bought Used in 2005 from above private seller)
Mrs Angela H******, Solicitor, previous owner's friend/colleague (bought in 2007 from above private seller)
Myself (bought Used from above private seller)
The previous owner's reason for sale was she felt she was getting too old to climb in and out of the 'cockpit'. She purchased the vehicle in 2007 from a friend and colleague, who owned it from 2005. All of the below issues happened during the previous owner's ownership, which I just haven't got round to dealing with yet.
Mechanical /Electrical issues to my knowledge
DSC Issue – my local garage confirmed this is just a faulty sensor issue, which may need replacing, however I have not got this fixed yet. A reasonably cheap fix for the new owner I've been told. I had the ABS module tested by BBA Reman to rule out anything to do with the ABS Pump etc.
*The vehicle is still perfectly driveable according to my local garage - I believe some Z3s didn't come with this feature, however it will require attention to ensure it is 100% perfect
Passenger Side Electric Seat - tries to move but seems to be jammed on something, which I haven't really looked into; the seat is fully back so can accommodate any passenger, but needs attention to be 100% perfect. This didn't really effect me or my regular passenger, but obviously needs looking at.
Cosmetic / age related issues to my knowledge
Paint Chips – a number of small age-related paint chips, scuffs, including a small scuff scuff to the nearside front wing (touched up to cover only)
Paint - inside the bumper/mesh grill area, there seems to be some light fading
Dent 1 – dent to rear driver side wing, below petrol cap (see image)
Dent 2 – minor small dent to rear nearside boot area (c.3mm)
Dent 3 - narrow dent to passenger side front wing (c.5/6cm)
Dent 4 - small dent to passenger side door (c.5mm)
Small Crack in Front Number Plat (Insect / Bee sized) - I have bought plain replacements
*I was quoted c.£180 - £200 to have all dents repaired, from a local ‘dent-devil’-like company
Note, there is no rust on the wheel arches at all - it's very clean. There are small signs at the very bottom/underside of the front nearside sill - where the muck gathers; very common on all Z3s, as you'll know, but the arches are perfect.
Overall, not a 100% mint example but for 16 years old this is a very, very good used genuine example, priced fairly against other similar examples. A great summer machine at a good price, and once the little jobs are finished off, or you may just prefer it to have character like I did, it will be perfect. Message for further information.
