My s***'s custom!
Having recently landed a set of brand new side covers, I was worried about keeping them mint condition.

As it’s my birthday next week I put in a call to good old mum! She delivered in a big way with some hand-made soft covers to stop them scratching each other in the storage bag.

They even match the car...

Does your mum knit socks too? Orange socks with the BMW logo on the ankle. Got to be a winner!

Best to put something over the roof button after you've fitted them. Forget that you've put them on and then raise the roof - they get pushed off and can be damaged I understand. Don;t know if they get damaged when you do that. Hopefully not.

The covers or the bags? The covers are from a company called Skyer who have just made a limited run of 50 pairs. With the exchange rate and the shipping/import costs they came in at about £260.
They came with a storage bag but I was worried they’d bang about and scratch each other. The protective orange bags were made for me as a gift.

Thankfully Skyer have redesigned the locking clip and make them from aluminium with a “break-away” system so they can’t be damaged....
I’m not keen to field test the theory though!
